      <image:caption>Lucy Brand é uma cantora, compositora e artista visual nascida em Nova York e radicada no Brasil, reconhecida por seu trabalho vocal inovador que transcende os limites tradicionais da música. Desde 2008, Lucy está profundamente imersa na cena musical brasileira, mesclando habilmente suas raízes musicais com uma profunda conexão com as tradições brasileiras. Graduada pelo prestigiado Conservatório de Tatuí, Lucy estudou canto, piano e percussão em MPB/Jazz, destacando-se como bolsista e como vocalista pioneira no Jazz Combo e no Coro Sinfônico da instituição. Sua voz, com uma versatilidade única, desafia os limites convencionais, explorando a improvisação vocal e elementos da música brasileira e contemporânea de forma criativa. Lucy atua ao lado de músicos renomados como Fabio Leal, Mutinho, Roberto Menescal, Cuca Teixeira, Salomão Soares, e Ana Malta. Suas contribuições em gravações incluem diversos projetos aclamados, como Fabio Leal &amp; Antropojazz (2021), BRIO (Jackson Silva, 2023), Sentir o Que Não Se Vê (Fabio Leal, 2018) e Casa de Mutinho (Mutinho, 2023), onde gravou ao lado de músicos como Zeca Baleiro, Toquinho, e Fernanda Takai, entre outros. Como performer, Lucy cativa o público semanalmente no conceituado Baretto em São Paulo, onde traz à vida uma mistura única de MPB, jazz e influências contemporâneas, colaborando com figuras-chave da bossa nova e do MPB, como Mutinho, baterista e compositor conhecido por colaborações com artistas como Toquinho e Vinicius de Moraes; Beto Salvador, que acompanhou grandes nomes como Leny Andrade, Pery Ribeiro e Wilson Simonal; e até sua morte em 2021, Wilson Gomes, conhecido por seu trabalho com artistas como Elis Regina (ele gravou Falso Brilhante), Renato Teixeira, César Camargo Mariano, entre outros. Suas apresentações se estendem a importantes casas de shows em São Paulo e a festivais internacionais, onde continua a explorar a fusão de diferentes gêneros musicais e a expandir as possibilidades da expressão vocal. Além disso, Lucy está ativamente desenvolvendo suas próprias composições e arranjos, muitas vezes se apresentando em duo com o guitarrista Fabio Leal. A música de Lucy Brand é um testemunho de seu compromisso em ultrapassar os limites artísticos, fundindo suas diversas influências para criar um som que é ao mesmo tempo distintamente brasileiro e inovador no cenário musical global.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Singer, composer and arranger, Lucy Brand is praised for her groundbreaking and expansive use of vocals in the context of Brazilian contemporary jazz.  Born and raised in New York, but educated largely in Brazil, she has been living and working in the São Paulo region for the past 13 years.  Lucy Brand has worked with distinguished Brazilian musicians including Fabio Torres, Diego Garbin, Paulo Almeida, Louise Woolley, Fi Marostica, Ana Malta, and Rodrigo Ursaia.   For the last 5 years, Lucy has been touring and recording with the group, Fabio Leal &amp; Antropojazz, with Fabio Leal, Cuca Teixeira, Yaniel Matos, and Sidiel Vieira.  Their new album will be released in January 2021.   In addition, she has recorded in other albums including Sentir o que não se Vê (Fabio Leal, indepent. 2018), Do Interiô (Gaston Reggio, Cordas Vivas. 2018) and Trupe das Cabeças Sonhadoras (Breno Cavalcanti, Cordas Vivas. 2020) Currently (but on pause), she performs twice weekly at Baretto, a renowned musical venue in São Paulo, playing regularly Beto Salvador (piano), Wilson Gomes (bass  - recorded for years with Elis Regina and Ivan Lins) and Mutinho (drums, composer and collaborator with Vinicius de Moraes). These musicians were among of the founders of Bossa Nova and MBP, and her work with them has been a fruitful collaboration.   As a bandleader and composer, she also performs regularly in a wide variety of settings with top musicians including Felipe Silveiras, Daniel Grajew, Ana Malta, Thiago Alves, and Jônatas Sansão.
